Setup

1. To create your campaign, click on "Create New" in the Campaigns tab.

2. Before we begin with the Google Display campaign setup, make sure to first follow the steps on How-to: Create Single Job Campaigns.

❗️Google Display only supports the creation of Single Job campaigns.

3. After naming your campaign as shown in the above link, you will need to choose your campaign objective.

4. Select ‘Candidate Click’ campaigns.

5. Select the "Run time" for your campaign.

❗️ Google Display is only available for “Candidate Click” campaigns.

📝 This means, that once you select the “Candidate Conversion” or “Lead Form” card, the input field of Google Display will appear disabled.

6. Set your budget for your Google ads as daily or lifetime.

7. When your ad account is connected successfully, Google Display becomes an ‘automated channel' in campaign creation, making the Google Display input field accessible in the automated channels sections. You can also include multiple channels in one campaign if you’d like.

📝 You don't need a Google page to run campaigns.

Assets

1. After clicking “Next“, you can set assets and variables that are automatically populated based on the job list and associated information.

2. The preview per profile will show the images, headlines, and descriptions tagged with the Google channel.

❗️ Currently, you can only generate 1 ad, so the selection bar is fixed.

Preview

  1. When you open the preview, you’ll see the original ad assets and text just as they were published. It’s a helpful tool for reviewing what your ads look like.

  2. You can’t make changes from the preview itself, but if you do want to update an ad, that’s easy! Just head over to the Asset Library, make your edits there, and we’ll push those changes live to your social channels on the next hourly update. Once that happens, the preview will also update to reflect the new version.

How to Use It

  • To access a preview, go to any campaign that’s already been published in the campaign overview. Clicking the campaign in the table will open a window with all the ads from that campaign.

  • It’s a great way to double-check how everything went live or share the ads with your team or stakeholders.
