Updated over a week ago

You can integrate images directly from an XML feed into your campaigns, giving you more customization options and relevance.

Benefits

  • Customization: This feature lets you use images from XML feeds, broadening your customization options and enabling you to create campaigns that resonate with various audiences.

  • Efficiency: You can streamline your campaign creation process by automating the inclusion of images from XML feeds, reducing manual work, and simplifying your workflow.

  • Flexibility: You have the choice to use either images from the asset library or from XML feeds, providing you with the flexibility to meet your specific campaign requirements.

Objectives

The main goal of this new feature is to boost your campaign customization and make the creation process more efficient. Specifically, it aims to:

  • Enhance Relevance: Direct integration of images from XML feeds allows you to tailor your campaigns to specific audiences, increasing relevance and engagement.

  • Simplify Your Workflow: By automating the image selection process from XML feeds, you can create campaigns more easily, reducing manual tasks and the chance of mistakes.

Technical Requirements

To make the most of this feature, you need to follow these technical requirements:

  • Image Format: The images in the XML feed should meet certain format criteria, including a minimum size of 600x600 pixels, a maximum file size of 8 MB, and they must be in JPG or PNG format.

  • Validation Process: Images from XML feeds are subject to the same validation as those uploaded to the asset library to ensure they meet format standards. Additionally, these images must be URLs pointing to images published online, ensuring our system can access them directly.

💡How It Works

Here's how you can integrate images from XML feeds into your campaigns:

  • DataSource Configuration: You can choose the PreferProvidedImages setting when creating or editing a data source to decide if you want to use images from XML feeds.

  • XML Feed Type Selection: If you choose Standard XML as the feed type, the PreferProvidedImages option will be disabled.

  • Image Selection Logic: When PreferProvidedImages is enabled and the XML feed includes images, those images will automatically be used in your campaigns. If there are no images in the XML feed, images from the library will be used instead.

  • Campaign Approval Flow: Images from XML feeds will be integrated into the campaign approval process smoothly, improving both efficiency and accuracy.

  • Image Editing Restrictions: Images from XML feeds can't be edited within the campaign interface to ensure consistency. You'll see a note explaining this restriction.

Conclusion

Integrating images from XML feeds into your campaigns is a major step forward in customization. It offers you more flexibility and efficiency, aiming to enhance your campaign management experience and achieve better engagement and results.
